The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Florida A&M University (FAMU) - Florida State University (FSU) College of Engineering (http://www.eng.fsu.edu/, Tallahassee, FL) currently has an opening for the Ph.D. Graduate Research position in Transportation Engineering. Candidates with the following research areas are encouraged to apply: transportation engineering, freight transportation, intermodal freight facilities, railroads, liner shipping scheduling, operations research, optimization, simulation modeling, NP-hard problems, mathematical programming, metaheuristics, hybrid algorithms, evolutionary computation, etc. Potential candidates should have records of GRE and TOEFL or IELTS. Preferable scores for GRE are [147 – verbal, 156 – quantitative]. Preferable scores for TOEFL/IELTS are [80/6.5]. This position will start in Fall 2017. The candidates are advised to have their diplomas translated into the U.S. format using WES service (http://www.wes.org/). The tuition coverage and competitive stipend will be provided.
A successful candidate will assist with research projects at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and should be able to receive a Ph.D. degree from FSU by Fall 2020 (within ~3 years).
