Purdue University’s Center for Connected and Automated Transportation (CCAT) carries out research, education, and engagement in six primary complementary areas related to connected and autonomous vehicles (CAV): modeling and implementation, control and operations, infrastructure design and management, human factors, policy & planning and enabling the emerging technologies. Our interests include driving simulation in CAV environments, on-demand transportation, and analysis of ride-sharing systems. In our work, we use a wide range of analytical tools including large-scale nonlinear optimization, statistical and econometric modeling, and machine learning. Dr. Samuel Labi, professor of civil engineering at Purdue University, is the director of Purdue’s CCAT center.
We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals in the area of connected and automated vehicles for the position of Postdoctoral Researcher. Applicants should have a PhD in transportation engineering, operations research, electrical engineering, computer science or statistics. The appointee may also be involved in teaching and mentoring graduate and undergraduate research assistants. The appointment is for one year, with a possibility for renewal. The position is open immediately and salary will be based on qualification and experience.
To apply, please email 1) a cover letter, 2) curriculum vitae, 3) three references and 4) two sample papers to Dr. Mohammad Miralinaghi (miralinaghi@purdue.edu). The review of applications will begin on October 15, 2018.
